How You’ll Support the Team In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient planning and direction of corporately owned equipment repair and maintenance programs with the following accountabilities: Plan, direct and schedule the maintenance and repair programs of corporately owned vehicles and equipment under the Fleet Services Division’s jurisdiction. Schedule and direct the assignment of work, personnel, equipment and resources for the Division's maintenance and operations of corporate fleet vehicles and equipment and instructs Division personnel in the most efficient and effective methods of performing their duties. Examine daily time sheets and work orders for proper distribution, provide cost control on accounts, and report on variances and schedules and approve annual vacations and overtime of assigned personnel. Participate in the preparation of capital and operating budgets and participate in their administration and control. Investigate and report on claims for injury, damage or complaints and take appropriate action. Participate in the hiring, evaluation, discipline, transferring and termination of staff and respond to grievances on behalf of the Corporation. Provide information, reports, letters and memoranda of significant developments to, and review major activities with the Manager. Ensure the development and maintenance of inventories and records of the location, condition and upkeep of the assets under the jurisdiction of the Division. Ensure that insurance, equipment, procedures and controls are in place to protect the Corporation from civil liabilities due to its facilities and operations under the jurisdiction of the Division. Participate in the development, implementation and enforcement of internal safety policies, procedures, standards, rules and regulations governing the section's activities and ensure that they are clearly communicated to staff.
