Job description

  • Proven expertise in designing interiors for hotels, restaurants, educational buildings,
    laboratories, and other complex environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to create aesthetic, functional interiors that enhance visitor
    experience, integrate sustainable / eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient lighting, and low-impact finishes that align with the overarching safari park environment.
  • Experience in designing diverse interior spaces including guest rooms, public areas, staff
    facilities, laboratories, and learning spaces.
  • Strong understanding of designing dynamic public spaces, such as dining areas, lobbies,
    exhibition spaces, and educational facilities.
  • Excellent written / oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to present and articulate design concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and local communities while using mood boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations to convey design ideas.
  • Experience in the preparation of design/contract documents and tender packages through all    project   design stages   inclusive of drawings, reports, specifications, presentations, design / engineering submissions, construction documents, etc.
  • Strong knowledge in lighting design, furniture selection, and space planning, ensuring the functionality and aesthetic quality of all interior elements.
  • Ability to review design, construction and contract documents such as scope of works, plans, specifications, schedules, etc.
  • Perform professional analysis, synthesis, and recommendation of design concept and
    alternatives to establish, communicate and explain the project design vision.
  • Work collaboratively with the design teams in the development of the project design
    concepts, strategies, and engineering documents.
  • Liaise / coordinate with project stakeholders, authorities, sub-consultants, managers,
    engineering disciplines, zoologist master planers, landscape, environmental engineers, etc... for the successful delivery / completion of the project through all project design stages.
  • Proficient in relevant interior design software such as CAD tools like AutoCAD, Revit,
    SketchUp, 3D Studio, and BIM, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and other applicable software.
  • BSc Degree in interior design or architecture.
  • MM Registration if required, based on degree / qualification.
  • Minimum 15+ years’ experience in interior design working on large-scale projects, with a focus on hospitality, F&B, entertainment, education, research facilities, etc...
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Qatar / GCC region at the same position.
