Position Summary
As a key member of the Windchill and ThingWorx implementation team, the Windchill Tech Lead will be responsible for leading a team, developing customizations, performing upgrades, and creating tools for data migration. The role involves Java-based development focused on delivering robust Windchill solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Windchill implementation team and analyze technical requirements for development and automation.
- Design, develop, and review high-quality code based on Sopra Steria guidelines.
- Customize and configure Windchill modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, SUMA, and SIM.
- Manage both client-side and server-side configurations.
- Handle business and system administration within the Windchill environment.
- Develop tools including macros, plugins, migration utilities, and performance optimizations.
- Perform code reviews and maintain code using version control tools like SVN.
- Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and tool maintenance.
- Adhere to IT best practices in development, version control, incident, and change management.
- Create and maintain technical and testing documentation.
- Integrate and configure Windchill with ThingWorx.
- Must have experience in ThingWorx Navigate customization and app development.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with engineering processes and terminology.
Total Experience Expected: 06-08 years
Qualifications – Mandatory
- BE/BTech or MCA from a reputed institution with strong academic performance.
- 6–8 years of overall industry experience, primarily in PTC Windchill consulting.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windchill development (APIs, Info Engine, Task Manager, MVC components).
- Strong programming skills in Core Java, JDBC, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, Servlets, Web Services, Struts, JAXB, and XML.
- 4+ years of experience with Oracle or MS SQL databases.
