Position Summary
1. Prevent environmental accidents on business sites through the compliance with related laws and management of major environmental factors.
- Establish accident-free business site through the management of major emission sources(exhausts, sewage and wastewater, hazardous solid wastes, chemicals) and change points.
- Establish and achieve pollutant reduction goals and conserve the environment through continuous monitoring.
Role and Responsibilities
- [Air pollutant management] Assist the management of air pollution emission sources, change points, licensing and pollutant reduction and support to implement legal requirements.
- [Water pollutant management] Assist the management of water pollution emission sources, change points, licensing and pollutant reduction and support to implement legal requirements.
- [Waste management] Support waste disposal/storage and pollutant reduction. Check related legal requirements.
- [Greenhouse gas management] Support the management of greenhouse gas emission sources & calculation of emissions. Assist to deal with the relevant regulations including the emission trading system.
- [Local ventilation equipment management] Support the implementation of legal requirements such as the prevention plan for hazardous risks and the installation of local ventilation equipment to facilities emitting hazardous substances.
- [Domestic/overseas environmental regulation report] Support the identification of domestic/overseas environmental regulation (policies, laws, regulations, etc.) trends in advance, and the support for response to external organizations.
- [Environmental management system(ISO14001)] Support the planning, implementation, confirmation and action(PDCA) tasks in accordance with the environmental management system(ISO 14001) to improve the environment of the workplace.
Skills and Qualifications
- A skilled or highly-skilled specialist that completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways
- May contribute to the development of concepts and techniques as well as complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways
- Works on assignments, including complex assignments, requiring considerable judgement and initiative
- May determine methods and procedures on new assignments
- May mentor or coach team members
- Typically requires a minimum 5 years of experience since TB1
