Job description

We’re looking for Graduate Electrical Engineers who are curious, motivated and excited to learn. You’ll join teams working on the electrical and digital systems that power Australia’s critical infrastructure, including:

  • High‑voltage power systems and substations
  • Protection and control engineering
  • ICT and communications networks for transport
  • Rail systems integration and operations technology

You don’t need prior experience in these areas — just a willingness to learn and a passion for solving real‑world engineering problems.

Our two-year Graduate Program is dedicated to nurturing the early stages of your consulting career.

What We Offer You

  • Mentorship: daily support from experienced engineers who guide your development
  • Hands‑on learning: contribute to real infrastructure projects from day one
  • Professional growth: structured training to build your technical and consulting skills
  • Collaboration: work alongside multidisciplinary teams across Australia and New Zealand
  • Industry connections: paid membership to professional engineering associations

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and contribute to electrical designs, schematics and technical documentation
  • Support senior engineers with modelling, calculations and design reviews
  • Assist with data analysis to help inform engineering decisions
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines
  • Help maintain quality and compliance with relevant standards
  • Gain supervised site exposure to understand how systems operate in the real world

Who We're Looking For

  • Available to start in February 2027
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Electrical major within Mechatronics)
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in infrastructure systems
  • Enthusiasm for learning about power, control, automation or transport technologies
  • Full working rights in Australia

If you want to build a career working on infrastructure that matters, we’d love to hear from you.

Egis is committed to creating an inclusive, creative culture that embraces diversity and flexibility. We offer generous parental leave, support flexible work practices and strive to create an environment where employees can connect, collaborate, grow and succeed.

We are expanding in Australia and New Zealand and are excited for you to join our growing team.
