Job description

The Senior Finance Analyst is a pivotal role within the C&I Divisional Finance team. The role will be responsible for leading the analysis of complex financial data and delivering high-level strategic insights into the performance of the C&I Division. The role will also support the coordination and consolidation of budgeting and forecasting processes pivotal to the execution of C&I’s strategic business objectives.

This is a dual-focused role: providing divisional-level consolidation and reporting to senior executives (CFO/CEO), while also providing finance business partnering support for SAE Licensing taking approximately one day per week. This row will drive the budgeting and forecasting processes and act as a key commercial advisor for the growing Licensing business to help execute C&I’s strategic objectives

Key Responsibilities:

Divisional Analysis & Reporting (75%)

  • Lead Monthly Performance Reporting: Own the delivery of monthly performance packs for the C&I Executive Leadership Team and Group Executives, ensuring deep-dive commentary goes beyond the "what" to explain the "why."
  • Strategic Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the coordination and consolidation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycles across the C&I Division.
  • Systems Leadership: Act as the divisional lead for finance systems (Oracle/Hyperion), ensuring data integrity and providing advanced support/training to BU finance teams.
  • Process Transformation: Proactively identify and implement continuous process improvements, leveraging automation and better data visualization to streamline divisional workflows.
  • Ad-hoc Commercial Projects: Execute complex financial modelling and business case analysis to support strategic investments or divisional restructuring.
  • Procurement & Contract Oversight: Maintain the C&I Divisional procurement contract register, proactively monitoring upcoming renewals and establishing renewal checkpoints with Contract Owners and relevant finance members in advance of business case submission.

Licensing BU Business Partnering (25%)

  • Full Cycle Financial Ownership: Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles specifically for SAE Licensing, ensuring alignment with broader C&I divisional targets.
  • Month-End Performance Reporting: Deliver month-end financial reporting and aged debtors reporting by licensee, providing clear commentary on performance drivers and variances to budget.
  • Revenue & Royalty Management: Perform the critical annual reconciliation of royalty revenue, ensuring all licensee payments are accurate and compliant with contractual terms.
  • Accounts Receivable Oversight: Manage the end-to-end invoicing process for licensees; monitor payment cycles and provide strategic aged debtors reporting to senior leadership. Being the primary point of contact for chasing outstanding payments to optimize cashflow
  • A relevant degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and preferably CA or CPA qualified. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a commercial finance or FP&A role, with a proven track record of moving from data processing to insight generation.
  • Business Partnering: Demonstrated experience in a business partnering capacity, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Analytical Rigor: Advanced financial modeling skills and the ability to work systematically through complex matters and positively influence outcomes.
  • Communication: Highly developed interpersonal skills with the build effective relationships with stakeholders across the senior management and across the Navitas Group.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Commercially aware and financially astute mindset, understanding of how specific drivers impact business performance.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure highly accurate reporting is delivered to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
