Job description
Primary Goals & Responsibilities
- Work closely with Sales organization and Management Team during the sales cycle to provide technical expertise and relevant industry experience
- Present the technical aspects of the products during customer calls (in-person or via the web)
- Develop, test and give demonstrations to customers in conjunction with sales and engineering
- Partner with sales and engineering to determine, plan and execute customer proof of concept testing
- Provide product feedback and feature enhancement suggestions to Product Management
- Support product releases by contributing to QA testing and input to product readiness
- Provide assistance with the design and provision of training to both technical and non-technical customers
- Add to knowledge bases, FAQ repositories and other technical information resources appropriate to the industry and product
- Assist with project delivery documentation
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years customer and/or partner technical sales support
- Proven experience creating and operating technical demonstrations
- Understanding of industrial technology a strong advantage (e.g. SCADA systems, manufacturing technical operations and networks, power generation networks etc)
- Understanding of security technology, particularly encryption and VPN an advantage
- Experience writing complex technical proposals and responding to RFPs
- Strong oral and presentation communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in technology preferred
