Job description
Requirements for the role of Accounting Manager;
- Drive the month end close process by managing to the closing calendar and closing deliverables.
- Own all aspects of the financial accounts and financial statements.
- Establish and maintain formal accounting policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with GAAP and proper controls.
- Key contributor to technical accounting activities, including timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, appropriate research and resolution, and documentation.
- Prepare journal entries, monthly reconciliations, accruals and other relevant accounting tasks.
- Handle all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Manage and process semi-monthly payroll.
- Assist with the preparation of business information and income tax returns.
Responsibilities for the role of Accounting Manager;
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in an Accounting Manager. Or a Senior Accountant ready to make the next step.
- Strong technical expertise and knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience in revenue recognition.
- Strong self starter who enjoys working in a smaller/start up environment.
- Prior experience working in a start up environment.
- Experience of an ERP implementation. (Ideally)
- Public Accounting experience in Audit.
- CPA accreditation (Ideally)
- Strong Excel skills.
