J2EE/SOA Architect

Job Title: J2EE/ SOA Technical Architect

Location: Northern New Jersey

Start Date: Immediate or within 2 Weeks

Interview Process: Telephonic and F2F

Engagement : fulltime and C2H – 3 Months

 

General:

• Extensive web application assessment experience with objective thinking and can offer an independent review
• Delivers detailed design of application platforms and integration architecture
• Recommends, reviews and approves technical approaches, designs, and best practices for J2EE/ SOA solutions using high volume transaction processing, ESB/ Messaging, reporting using Jasper and other java script libraries
• Collaborates with the Delivery and Business Teams to help develop technology and product Road-maps
• Works with delivery teams to triage and resolve project and product technical issues raised by engineers and internal/external clients
• Position is based out of New York City for 8 weeks

 

Requirement Skills & Experience;

• 8-10 years of software architecture and design experience in a lead or senior technical hands-on role—specifically Jasper,ESB /  Message broker, Linux, Apache, and Eclipse
• Experience with web technologies, i.e. HTML 5, XML/XSLT, JQuery, security (SAML, SSO, Federation), and web services (EJB3, Rest, JASON JAX-WS/RS, JMS)
• Deep knowledge and expertise in current software development methodologies, technologies and architectures.
• Hands on experience and expertise building Enterprise Applications in the J2EE environment using multi-tier, pattern-driven design with a DB backend ( MY SQL, SQL Server or Oracle)
• Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively present to Management and Customers

 

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience developing EJBs & POJOs and using Spring, Hibernate and other Java frameworks to deliver high performance applications.
• Experience in the analysis and design of applications with the System Architect and Business Users (including business model, security model and Business components);
• Translate business model and user requirements into software specifications.
• Develop functions and application components in Java on Web sphere. platform;
• Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
• Expertise with various SDLC and delivery methodologies (Waterfall, RUP and Agile)
• Experience in the integration of complex systems with leading 3rd party enterprise and legacy software products using web services, EAI products
• Experience designing and building web service based APIs and content rich web UI’s
• Experience with tools and frameworks like Eclipse, JUnit, Struts, Jasper Reports, TOAD, MS Project, SharePoint, Message Queuing and XML.
• Experience building defining the art of the possible in a technology roadmap and infrastructure capacity planning
• Experience with Web based dashboards and data services solutions for financial clients
