Front Office Agent – Mercure Oradea (Opening Spring 2026) 

Be part of the opening team of Mercure Oradea, a contemporary midscale hotel featuring 90 rooms, four conference halls, a spa & wellness center, restaurant, café, and lobby bar.

As Front Office Agent, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, delivering a warm welcome, efficient service, and a smooth guest journey in line with Mercure and Accor brand standards.

You will play an important role from the pre-opening phase through the hotel’s launch, contributing to service setup, team training, and the creation of a strong guest-focused culture.

You will be responsible for:

Guest Service & Front Desk Operations

  • Welcome guests and perform check-in and check-out procedures in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Handle guest requests, questions, and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide accurate information about the hotel, services, and local attractions.
  • Promote upselling opportunities such as room upgrades, late check-out, and hotel services.

Systems, Cashiering & Administration

  • Operate the hotel PMS and Front Office systems accurately.
  • Handle reservations, room allocations, billing, and payments according to procedures.
  • Ensure correct posting of charges and compliance with cashiering standards.
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles and reservation details.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Participate in daily briefings and follow operational instructions from supervisors.
  • Support colleagues during peak periods and special events.

Standards, Safety & Brand Compliance

  • Apply Mercure and Accor Front Office standards consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with Accor Safety & Security procedures and local regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance at the front desk.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities

  • Participate in Front Office training sessions, system testing, and operational rehearsals.
  • Support opening preparations, service simulations, and soft-opening operations.
  • Learn and apply all Front Office SOPs and service scripts.

 

  • Previous experience in Front Office, Guest Services, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
  • Hospitality education or hotel experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Romanian and English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with hotel PMS systems is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong guest-oriented mindset.
