Job description
S/he is expected to translate the Global Medical Strategy to the region and drive execution of the plan accordingly. To succeed, it is expected that the role would have a full understanding of the regional needs and medical opinions/concerns of Franchise. S/he will provide Franchise medical subject matter expertise and partner closely with the regional marketing, market access teams, co-lead our Regional Franchise Medical Product Teams and be the Franchise Medical representative on the EU+ Regional Brand team.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Global ICP development and ensure cross-functionally aligned development and execution of Franchise medical plan in the region (Both strategies and tactics)
- As the Regional Franchise Medical expert, support/participate/lead cross-functional meetings, internal/external medical education/training activities, scientific ad-boards
- Directly conceptualize, initiate and lead local/regional data generation in addition to review and support of local/regional medical research protocol development prior to, during and after the Franchise LCMF
- Manage the Franchise Champions Medical network across EU+ affiliates
- Understand/Capture Franchise EU+ medical insights; help develop, shape and then deliver communication guidance to cross-functional partners and affiliates
- At least 8+ years’ experience in medical affairs experience in a European market
- At least 3 years’ experience in clinical/medical research.
- Ideally experience in leading an affiliate plus

The Medical Director serves as the bridge between the Global Medical and Affiliate Medical teams. This role is part of the larger Global Medical team will contribute to key data generation and communication initiatives with a focus on the EU+ affiliates. Specifically, the role is responsible for understanding, contributing to and communicating to the affiliates the Global Medical Strategy (embodied in the Data Generation Plan, Life-Cycle Management Strategies Publication Plan) for Franchise.
