Job Description:
The webcast engineer will plan and oversee the production of webcasts, from pre-production to final product. This role will include budgeting, planning and scripting to shooting, editing and finally broadcasting. The webcast engineer will perform all production-related tasks to produce a webcast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement enterprise level webcast centric solutions
- Work with key stake holders to gather business requirements and design a webcast solution based on defined requirements
- Meet with clients or other production company personnel to determine the aesthetic and audio requirements of a production
- Develop a script and budget
- Secure a webcast location, select lights, props and equipment, hire crew (if needed) to shoot the production and users to appear in the webcast
- Schedule and organize the shoot in an efficient manner, making the best use of resources
- Edit the webcast or oversee and approve the work of an editor
- Interact with and manage tasks with members of cross-functional teams.
- Partner with the business to ensure solutions support current and long-term business needs.
- Develop and deliver operational and design documentation for all projects
- Hands on experience with different voice, collaboration and network platforms
- Experience building on premise, off-premise and hybrid webcast solutions.
- Ability to work on a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of A/V networks and platform, IVRs, Voicemail, SBCs and carrier call routing and technologies.
- Working knowledge of layer 3 routers, layer 2 switches, including layer 2 and 3 networking fundamentals and associated routing protocols.
- Working knowledge of computer servers and various operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows, etc.).
- Knowledge of industry standard voice over IP platforms.
- Working knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology.
- Working knowledge of designing software, such as Visio.
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications:
10+ years of supporting a complex UC environment (Skype for Business, Sonus SBC, O365) with IM, conferencing, voice and video deployed.
Experience scripting in Powershell, Python, Perl or other languages
Experience with Lync 2013, Skype for Business 2015, Skype for Business Online, Microsoft O365 product suite
Sonus SBC experience or equivalent
Strong knowledge and experience in supporting technologies (SIP, AD, networking, etc.)
Telecommunications experience
Familiarity with Exchange Unified Messaging
PRI SIP trunking experience
8+ years of Windows experience
Troubleshooting Complex mix signal and media environment
Working cross-functionally (networking team, etc)
Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory design, implementation and administration are required
Experience with Skype for Business Endpoints
Integration with Polycomm voice and video infrastructure required
Strong background in networking (Firewalls, Cisco routers/switches, network protocols, VPN…) is a plus
Network storage (SAN, NAS, Backup) experience a plus
VMware Server Virtualization experience
Must have excellent organizational skills
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
The following certifications are a plus: CCNA, MCSE, MCTIP
Education:
Bachelor degree or equivalent.
