Job description

The Access Strategy & Payer Marketing Manager - Neurology will develop and work on market access programs and teams through supporting Biogen’s Spanish Affiliate commercial activities. The person will be responsible for providing strategic vision, tactical expertise and support for Biogen’s Neurology Franchise (e.g. access and negotiation strategies, innovative access schemes, development of value materials, communications and tools as well as engagement with a variety of key external stakeholders). The Payer Strategy role is both strategic and technical and is responsible to ensure access to Biogen products in line with the company’s commercial objectives.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

? Champion payer perspective and drive it into brand strategy and implementation ? Ensure the country market access needs are aligned cross-functionally and integrated into corporate annual planning process ? Drive and coordinate with cross-functional partners the strategic direction of local, regional and national-level price and access opportunities and mitigation of potential risks ? Conducts analysis of business and patient access threats and opportunities at relevant stages of the patient journey within the prioritized accounts, based on customer insights, treatment guidelines and practices, and competitive actions ? Make proactive inputs on how drivers and barriers to access can be optimally addressed into actionable objectives ? Leverage intelligence to assist with identifying, segmenting, profiling and defining national key accounts - e.g. Hospitals, purchase groups, guideline providers etc. ? Monitor key performance indicators related to Market Access activities and keep metric source databases updated ? Ensure training on payer materials including product value proposition, evidence and value story for the Field Market Access team in Spain ? Drive a culture of excellence, shared accountability and collaboration within Global and Regional Market Access teams and related network within Biogen via sharing and dissemination of key learnings and best practices

? Demonstrate appropriate level of leadership experience to lead and influence, perform with high levels of competence, confidence and credibility. ? Ability to understand the organization's strategy and apply to product pricing and access strategies ?

The Market Access department is responsible for management of public tenders, price and reimbursement processes of new and life cycle assets, regional access and development of healthcare system projects involving key health authorities and hospital pharmacists.
