Job description
We are currently looking for a new Market Access Manager to join our Market Access team in our Norwegian Affiliate based in Oslo.
In this role you will be responsible for development of health economic analysis and budget impact models of current portfolio. The tools developed will be applied towards prioritized hospitals and health trusts with respect to conditions (financial and organizational) and stakeholders influencing the access conditions for Biogen’s products.
In alignment with sales/medical/marketing, you will build an access plan/stakeholder plan with key objectives and tactics for each prioritized hospitals and health trusts. You will be the general expert on Field Market Access related strategies and tactics.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collecting, compiling and analyze data from various sources as a basis for the Market Access activities
- Undertake health economics analyzes, pricing and tender tactics, reimbursement applications and analysis of budget implications
- Mapping key decision makers and the environments that affect them. Establishment of good relationship with relevant stakeholders, including pharmaceutical authorities, health enterprises, specialist associations, patient associations, the procurement body (sykehusinnkjøp), and the Norwegian Medicines Agency
- Keeping up to date on legislation and regulations, as well as economic and organizational conditions that affect market access and funding of Biogen’s products
- Contribute to the development of new ways of working for the Market Access function together with Medical Department and Sales and Marketing
- Provide high expertise, insight and knowledge
- Manages outcome research activities for the whole portfolio
- Keeps an updated stakeholder map and researches the main issues and developments for each prioritized hospitals and health trusts
- Ensures that the market access tools, presentations, budget impact models that are developed by market access are highly relevant to stakeholders at hospitals
- Responsible of adapting and optimizing all materials to the needs of each activity/stakeholder interaction
- Develops new business concepts for field market access activities. Field activities are expected
- Manages scientific stakeholders at higher levels such as specialist in Norwegian Medicine Agency (NoMA) clinic heads, payer networks and decision making bodies in health trusts, local patient advocates, etc. to secure access to our medicines e.g. value communication to horizon scanning groups to ensure early awareness of neurological diseases as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) franchise pipeline and thus to manage hospital funding issues e.g. closely collaborate with field activities giving them tools and arguments to raise awareness of neurology and the cost of illness of, aiming at driving resources to neurology and increasing clinics’ budgets through horizontal prioritizations within county councils
