Solothurn Materials Management & Scheduling Site Head

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Oversees, plans, and leads all activities related to the development of the Site Manufacturing Schedule, including scenario planning for alternative options related to production planning. Communicates and collaborates with Site Management and Global Planning counterparts to ensure alignment and feasibility of the production schedules for manufacturing operations. Provides input into the Annual Operations Planning process, as appropriate; identifies critical milestones and assesses flexibility of resources (i.e., equipment, space, FTEs, etc.) within the Materials Management & Scheduling function. Develops and integrates E2E planning standards into the site scheduling standards. Works with counterparts across Sites to develop optimal Materials Management, Warehouse operations and scheduling business processes to ensure uninterrupted supply to Mfg Operations and the supply chain.
• Directs activities of Managers/Supervisors within the Materials Management and Scheduling department in core tactical operations. Manages support of the tech transfer process and is responsible for ensuring that the raw material needs for all manufacturing campaigns are met. Oversees the development, maintenance and analysis of manufacturing bills of material for all site programs. Responsible for the planning and inventory control of the raw material and work in process inventory at the Solothurn site utilizing relevant ERP systems. Responsible for reducing the risk of excess, expired, and obsolete raw material inventory and oversees the raw materials E&O process.
• Participates on strategy-related and/or process improvement teams as required. Supports the identification, development, and implementation of improvement opportunities through performance measurement and analysis using prove process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to deliver business results in areas of customer satisfaction, quality, reliability, productivity, and safety. Oversees Global RM Planning Hub and weekly Global RM Planning Huddles in partnership with counterparts in RTP and Hillerod sites.
• Manages the following:
• Development and maintenance of accurate budget forecasting tools/models for determining annual budget targets for Solothurn Materials Management & Scheduling, as well as quarterly reforecating processes;
• Management of the budget effectively by understanding the areas of responsibility and the forces that drive the budget.
• Addresses human resource development opportunities and challenges. Guides direct reports in goal creation/alignment/attainment, as well as provides knowledge, learning and skill enhancement opportunities to prepare them for future roles. Actively participates in the hiring process to ensure the best candidate is selected for any open positions and works to develop a high-performing team. Responsible for overall compliance with staff and work place safety standards.
• 10-12 years relevant experience and/or training in a GMP regulated industry, Pharma/Biotech experience preferred
• Min. 5 years of people management experience.
