Job description

We are currently looking for Business Unit Director for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), the position will be based in Stockholm, Sweden.

In this role you will be responsible for leading the affiliate-based AD organization with full strategic, tactical and operational responsibility for the AD therapy area.

You will work with your team to innovate new ways to access and influence healthcare providers, while still working within both internal and external rules and regulations. You will have the overall responsibility for the national sales and marketing strategy and alignment within all regulations and you’ll work closely with the management team members to provide maximization of sales opportunities and marketing strategy and tactics.

Primary Responsibilities Pre-launch – develop affiliate pre-launch plan to deliver the following components: o Market map incorporating patient flow / diagnostic pathway, reimbursement channels, HCP / Hospital analysis o Disease State Education activities o Co-ordination of horizon scanning activities o Product Distribution and forecast plan o Internal resource planning including hiring timelines o External resource planning o AD Talent mapping o Internal training plan o Ensuring that the affiliate AD team collaborates effectively with cross functional above the affiliate resources o Work externally in line with all local laws and code to build understanding of Key Medical Experts in AD

Post launch o Provide strategic leadership on Brand/ Portfolio Plans, Pricing and Sales Strategy including Market Development/ Market Expansion/Service Optimization Opportunities. o Develop a strategic growth plan for the business in the affiliate including leading local pricing strategy and reimbursement programs o Ensure meaningful market research is conducted and results are utilized to improve and refine our strategies and implementation working alongside the Customer & Market Insights (CMI) team o Ongoing accurate forecast accuracy o Ensure long term profitability of the business through appropriate execution of marketing, sales, pricing strategies o Build and lead a high performing organization, providing leadership and development opportunities to ensure operational excellence o Ensures strong affiliate collaboration between Sales and Marketing organization and other departments such as CMI, Value & Access, medical, finance, HR, and Compliance etc. o Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across the affiliate, EU and Global teams o Represent BIIB and its pharmaceutical products to relevant key health care professionals, hospital business managers, national patient organizations and national authorities and pricing authorities as needed o Builds and develops strong customer relationships, has a network of AD HCPs and works in partnership with them to develop services and treatments o Participates on the Affiliate Leadership Team and in overall management of the Affiliate o Provides oversight of cross functional AD budgets
