Job description
Join a high-volume Emergency Department at a large acute-care hospital providing both adult and pediatric emergency services. The unit includes 44 total spaces (25 beds, 18 care-path vertical spaces, 4 triage for low acuity) and serves patients across the full spectrum—from minor injuries to high-acuity cardiology and neurology cases—supported by chest-pain and stroke center designations.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid triage, assessments, and interventions for patients of all ages.
- Manage multiple priorities while ensuring safe medication administration and monitoring.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; coordinate diagnostics and consults.
- Deliver discharge/aftercare education and safe patient transitions.
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation; support ED safety standards and throughput goals.
Required
- Active RN license (FL or compact).
- At least 1 year of recent acute-care RN experience (within the last year).
- BLS required before start; ACLS & PALS within 90 days; Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days.
- Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing (or higher).
