Duties include but are not limited to:
The Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS) was deployed in July 2007, replacing the 30-year old legacy KIDS/youth information system. The system is a web-based application using .Net technology; it tracks juvenile justice youth through detention facilities into OCFS placement where they go through Intake, Residential, and CMSO (community multi-service organizations) programs and services, and also provides an automated financial/billing module. JJIS is linked with a restraint tracking module and the reportable incident tracking module.
There are still many enhancements and system interfaces (internal and external) that need to be addressed. Examples of priority work to be include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive Counseling module to include individual and group counseling, single working diagnosis, and psychotropic medications tracking support; Substance Abuse module; Imaging; Internet & Outside Provider Access to Contact Notes; Mental Health uniform working diagnosis; and more. The person in this position works with users to collect and document business requirements and use cases, works with developers on analysis and logical design, assists the developers with unit testing, and is primarily responsible for responding to juvenile justice data requests from JJIS.
The person in this BA position functions as the Lead Analyst for DJJOY systems development efforts and is critical to the success of these projects.
Duties include but are not limited to
- Work with users to collect and document business requirements and use cases;
- Work with developers on analysis and logical design;
- Perform unit and regression testing and work closely with users during UAT;
- Assist with responding to Juvenile Justice data requests.
- Compile status reports, schedules and requests from management on the Adoption Systems.
- The individual in this position will work under the direction of the Technical Lead/Project Manager.
Candidates should have at least 84 Months experience, and below should apply
Experience facilitating meeting with users to identify & gather business requirements
Experience documenting functional requirement, business rules & complex security requirements
Experience as a lead business analyst, with responsibilities including: -Managing the workload of other business analysts -Reviewing and edit documentation written by other business analysts. -Experience leading these tasks for large, complex, object-oriented .Net web systems is preferred
Strong SQL coding experience for writing SQL data queries for extraction and/or validation of application data.
Experience with MS Project and SharePoint for writing and maintaining project schedules and project documentation.
Associates Degree. Proof of education is to be submitted with all responses.
