Job Description:


HMH is seeking a skilled Windchill PLM Customization Programmer to join our team. This role involves developing and customizing PTC Windchill PLM solutions to support our product lifecycle management processes.  The technical team member will come to work with the business and technical objectives as well as a schedule in mind that requires designing, coding, deploying, testing, technical support, and collaboration.     Responsibilities:

    • Provide Customization and modifications of Windchill products for enhancements, break fix, and integration
    • Provide technical support for Engineering release activities in Windchill PDMLink, including Change Notices, Tasks, WTParts, WTDocuments, CAD Documents, Notes, Engineering Bills of Material, and effectivity.
    • Conduct demonstrations of the success of your work in front of peers and business partners with the ability to adjust work based on priorities and external timelines.
    • Support team members, submit work for code review, and adjust to deliver the best business value to the organization.
    • Identify and communicate opportunities, dependencies, and risks.
    • Follow IT Change Management for all codes, configurations, and system changes
    • Stay current with PTC Windchill best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation
    • Project support where needed, and not limited to the above responsibilities
    • Be flexible with global time-zone support differences.  Preferred Hours:  Between 2:00am-11:00am US Central Time
    • Be flexible with off-hour support on critical issues and change rollouts.

    Required Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of relevant experience)

    Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional level experience

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience as a software developer customizing Windchill products for enhancements and general support.
    • Strong understanding of PTC Windchill architecture, data model, and customization framework.
    • Strong in Windchill Customization, Configuration management, Change Management, Workflow configurations, GUI development, Testing, and Debugging.
    • Experience with PTC Windchill customization using Info*Engine, Windchill APIs, and Windchill Workgroup Manager.
    • Knowledge of CAD integration, configuration management, and product data management concepts.
    • Proficiency in Java, JSP, JavaScript, SQL, and web technologies.
    • Experience in using the following for modification of Windchill: Java, JSP, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, XSD, XSLT
    • Proven experience designing and developing custom ThingWorx applications, including integration with Windchill PLM data and processes.
    • Ability to develop and optimize ThingWorx mashups, services (in JavaScript/ThingWorx scripting), and connectors for real-time data visualization.
    • Knowledge of DevOps Tools (Azure)
    • Experience troubleshooting/Debugging development issues, including raising support tickets with 3rd party vendors as needed
    • Ability to develop and maintain solutions that support multiple deployable configurations from a single codebase.
    • Provides input into the future software functionality, implementation methodology and customization standards.
    • Strong Understanding of Windchill Architecture.
    • Hands-on knowledge of Windchill integration development & tools (Windchill REST Services, SOAP) is a plus.
