Job description

Mandatory:

  • Mapjects is seeking a pricing analyst who understands GS2188 and GS2170


  • Developing  - Cost breakdown to include loaded and unloaded labor rates per labor category, indirect costs (G&A, overhead, fringe benefits, material handling, etc.), ODCs (material, equipment, supplies, travel, etc.), subcontracting, escalation factors and any fee(s).  Including the base year and each option year cost breakdown to be delineated on a separate worksheet for each year.



Assist in the development and preparation of price proposals in compliance with solicitations and company procedures; develop and coordinate approval of cost estimates. 

Prepare formal price volume submission and supporting documentation, monitor proposal process and support modifications or negotiations as required. 

Optional:

Evaluate subcontractor and vendor cost proposals including fact-finding, cost/technical analyses and evaluations. 

Collect and analyze cost and schedule performance data and develop supportable cost projections based on historical trends and bases.  Assess and quantify cost/schedule/technical status and risk; evaluate trends, and project cost completion estimates, including estimates at completion and estimates to complete.  Develop, implement, and train standardized estimating methodologies and procedures, analysis techniques and related reports.  Conduct special studies and evaluations and ensure compliance with Government financial policies and procedures. 

Work is non-routine, very complex, involving the application of advanced technical and / or business skills in the area of specialization.  Routinely communicates with the capture and proposal team, business development, contracts, recruiting, and technical team. 

  • Estimating experience should include T&M, FFP and CPFF type proposals for government contracts.
  • Experience pricing ID/IQ contracts types is desired
  • Must have coordinated and authored several cost proposals for US government contracts
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Acquisition Regulation’s Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) is desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required..
  • Prefer minimum 5 to 8 years relevant job-related experience in estimating complex government product or services projects.
  • Ability to work effectively under time critical deadlines.
  • Experience in the high technology, consulting, or professional services industry.
