9 Month Contract Job Opportunity

Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

This entry level software engineer will take direction from senior engineers in the Engineering Test Services (ETS) web applications group and senior process engineers to: • Review and understand technical aspects of the Integrated Engineering Process (IEP) architecture, tools, and process content. • Develop and maintain ETS-specific standard process elements using the Rational Method Composer (RMC) tool • Maintain traceability of process elements using the TeamCenter System Engineering (TcSE) tool • Support the Test Engineering Process Group (EPG) to help maintain existing ETS standard processes • Develop and maintain ETS web applications • Understand, configure, and program at the Application Programming Interface (API) level with enterprise tools, using a web user interface Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or information technology • Motivated, self-starter • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Desirable Qualifications • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, SQL (Highly Desirable) • 1-2 years experience developing or maintaining web applications • 1-2 years process development or maintenance • Experience with server side programming languages (ColdFusion, .NET, PHP) • Familiarity with database applications (Oracle, SQL Server) • Experience with user interface design, use cases, Unified Modeling Language (UML) • Familiarity with RMC and TcSE tools

May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
