Job description
Overview Assesses, analyzes, and monitors administrative systems and procedures at the care center level. Makes recommendations for improved systems and procedures and increased efficiency of operations. Provides written reports of problem or deficiency identification and written plans of correction. Evaluates staffing and training requirements and provides support in meeting those needs. Communicates issues, problems and recommendations to leadership (and/or AVP, VP of Home Health Division, Senior Regional Business Office Manager, Regional Director Operations and VP of Clinical Operations). Monitors, assesses, and provides continuous support in decreasing accounts receivable to company standards. Responsibilities Performs assessment of administrative branch systems and procedures and provides timely written and verbal report of findings with written plans of correction Provides recommendations for improved systems and procedures and increased efficiency of operations Assists the agencies with the implementation of new systems and provides support and instruction as necessary Evaluates existing staffing, forecasts future staffing needs, and provides consult to ensure appropriate staffing levels are met as needed Uses formal and informal assessments to identify training needs and provides instruction, training and support to meet those needs Attends, actively participates in, and initiates staff meetings or other consultative activities to improve office operations as needed Provides support and instruction to care center staff regarding the billing system, billing procedures, and compliance issues Cultivates good relationships within care center and motivates staff to help maintain a high level of morale Reviews care center written reports including scheduling audits, onsite reports for current and new acquisition locations. Conducts conference calls with senior leadership, RDOOs, and the necessary care center staff for Care Centers needing improvement Reviews and assists with revisions of the Office Operations process and Manual Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in IT, Business or related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years office management and supervisory experience. Healthcare, home care and/or medical billing environment preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very strong IT experience and ability to adapt rapidly to different systems and software with proficiency. Ability to promote understanding of complex systems/processes and effectively train others. Ability to perform analysis and respond appropriately to findings and conclusions. Three (3) to five (5) years office management and supervisory experience. Amedisys is an equal opportunity employer.
