The Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivables Accountant will have dual responsibilities; As an Accounts Payable, will have responsibility for ensuring that all vendor invoices are accurately recorded, paid on time, and maintaining accurate records in the company's accounting system.  As an AR Accountant, will have responsibility over the monitoring, matching and cash application, as well as responsibility over all the collection activities.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.

 

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Preparing and processing payments to vendors according to company policies and procedures.

• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure that all outstanding payments are accurate.

• Prepare month-end closing reports, including evidence and comments for accounts payable open balances to reconcile.

• Responsible for the cash application, monitoring and review of ageing reports.

• Performing all collections activities including correspondence with customers, execution of effective collection procedures to improve cash flow and reduce past due.

• Performing Risk Assessment for new customers and existing customers as per request.

• Reviewing and managing sales orders hold as needed, and communicate effectively to keep appropriate organizations up to date of customer issues and situations affecting the continued release of orders.

• Ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and control of Intercompany transactions and T&E‑related activities.

• Ensuring compliance with IFF policies and procedures

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Education: University Accounting, Finance or Economics degree.

• Experience: 2 + years finance / accounting skills

• Communication in English is essential.

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel

• A good understanding of an ERP (SAP ECC) system experience advantageous
