The People Partner, Flight Operations is a trusted advisor to business leaders, turning organisational and business unit strategies into practical people plans that lift performance and drive cultural transformation. This role will be a true generalist business partner, supporting workforce planning, employment relations, organisational design, talent development, succession planning and culture initiatives that align with business goals. It plays a key role in shaping leadership capability, guiding complex change, and championing an exceptional employee experience and high‑performance culture. Success in this position requires strong business acumen, sharp diagnostic skills, and the ability to create people solutions that meet both immediate operational needs and future capability demands, while working closely with Centres of Excellence and leveraging the Consultant team for program delivery and surge support.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Trusted People Business Partner to senior stakeholders.
- Supporting cultural change and transformation initiatives, leveraging skills and experience in change management, coaching and employee relations.
- Supporting and driving several People initiatives aligned to business priorities
- Partnering on large‑scale workforce growth and capability uplift
- Coaching line Managers on People advisory matters
- Using data and analysis to highlight people's priorities and build cases for change
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
- 3–5+ years’ HR experience, ideally in a commercial environment
- Demonstrated experience handling complex grievances
- Proven ability to deliver positive people outcomes in complex settings with multiple awards and business units
- Experience coordinating projects and supporting strategic HR initiatives, including transformation and change programs
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels and across diverse workstyles
- Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality and capability to operate confidently amid ambiguity and complexity
