About the Opportunity
This is a critical role in our payroll team, responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant and timely end to end processing of payroll across Australia & New Zealand. As a payroll guru, you will help to coach and mentor team members to uplift capability, and be an escalation point for complex enquiries. In this role you will also get involved in leading project work to implement efficiencies and support strong governance and audit outcomes ensuring compliance with the relevant payroll legislation, awards and statutory obligations.
About you
The position would suit someone who has experience in end-to-end payroll processing in Australia (and ideally New Zealand) within a large, complex business. With knowledge of:
- Compliance; demonstrated understanding of Australian payroll legislation and awards.
- Strong knowledge of payroll controls, reconciliations and audit requirements.
- Payroll system experience is essential (Micropay experience desirable, not essential).
- Technology Savvy – you use technology effectively, seeking ways to use technology for the good of the business. Proactive in investigating and adopting new technologies to achieve competitive advantage.
- Relationship building – we want someone who can build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders from our leadership team through to operations.
- Strong problem solving skills, and high attention to detail is a must!
