ABOUT AUGUSTUS
Augustus is re-thinking money clearing for the internet era. Built from the ground up to provide programmable access to the world’s hard currencies. It’s designed for global financial institutions that need instant, always-on, clearing of major Western currencies.
The dollar is the best product in the history of the world, with practically infinite global demand, but its distribution is broken. The existing clearing model runs on legacy banks that are closed 115 days a year, is built for humans and take two days to settle. Augustus is the update to the internet era. We received conditional approval from the OCC to charter America’s first stablecoin-native clearing bank that is always open, made for machines, at the speed of compute.

THE ROLE
Until now, our CRO and Co-Founder Peter has been running Account Management. You're taking it over. You own a portfolio of customers, each with more than €100k RRR. Your job is to grow revenue within it and keep customers successful: understanding their goals, helping them unlock value, and making sure satisfaction stays high. After signature, two tracks run in parallel across every account: a commercial track (yours: relationships, revenue, renewals, expansion) and an operational track owned by Customer Operations (onboarding, enablement, support). You are the commercial face of Augustus to every merchant in your book. When things aren't working, you're the person they call and the person internally who makes sure it gets fixed. To do that well, you'll work closely with three people: the CRO, who carries the institutional knowledge of the current customer base and will join you on the biggest deals; the Customer Operations Lead, whose team owns the operational backbone you'll lean on when accounts need to ramp; and our Compliance Onboarding Lead, who you coordinate with to unblock customers on their path to go-live. You report directly to the CRO.
YOUR FIRST 6 MONTHS
- Months 1-2: You meet every customer with more than €100k RRR. You learn their business, map the current journey from contract signature to full ramp-up, and identify where things break. You come with questions, not answers.
- Months 3-4: You own most of the portfolio end-to-end. Newly signed customers land with you from day one. You drive the commercial relationship across the full lifecycle and partner with Customer Operations to keep the path to go-live clear.
- Months 5-6: You own the full portfolio. You've built trust with customers and proven you can run the existing processes. Now you redesign what isn't working, triage the most complex accounts, and start shaping what Account Management looks like at scale.

HARD REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years in a customer-facing role in a B2B environment
- Experience in a fast-paced start-up (50-100 employees)
- Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
- Comfortable traveling within Europe and occasionally globally
