Job description
You’ll lead the group’s global IT infrastructure operations and project management functions, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose both now and into the future. This is not just about oversight—you’ll be expected to bring structure, clarity, and momentum across everything from day-to-day operations through to major business initiatives. Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll translate business priorities into clear plans and deliverables.
A key focus of the role is governance, risk, and security. You’ll be accountable for cyber risk, technology change, and compliance, ensuring the business is protected without unnecessary complexity.
You’ll lead a small but capable team of 16 with 3 direct management level reports, building a culture that is collaborative, accountable, and outcomes-focused. While this is a strategic role, there will be times you’ll need to step in and deliver directly.
We’re looking for someone who has operated at a senior level in IT, and is equally comfortable working across strategy and execution. You’ll know how to balance best practice with pragmatism, and bring strong commercial judgement, leadership capability, and a proven ability to deliver results in complex environments.
- Proven experience leading IT operations and infrastructure in a complex or growing organisation
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, moving easily between big-picture thinking and execution
- Strong understanding of IT governance, risk, information and cyber security, with a practical approach to implementation
- Experience establishing or improving project delivery frameworks (PMO or similar)
- A track record of delivering projects and initiatives on time, with clear business impact
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at leadership level
- Strong people leadership capability, with a focus on building capability, accountability, and performance
- Commercially astute, with sound judgement in balancing cost, risk, and operational performance
