If so, consider joining Principal's Finance and Accounting team supporting our Real Estate Investors’ business as a Sr Associate Investment Accountant. In this role, you’ll join a highly collaborative environment and provide analytical accounting support for real estate portfolios. The Sr Associate Investment Accountant is involved in all aspects of the Real Estate investment cycle, from property acquisition to ongoing oversight and reporting, to disposition. This position works closely with third party property managers and asset managers to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Below are few examples of responsibilities: Prepare and record journal entries for property acquisitions, dispositions, and financing in accordance with US GAAP. Review financial statements in compliance with internal controls and other established procedures Interact regularly with the Real Estate Asset and Portfolio Management teams as well as third-party property managers to establish annual budgets, provide explanations, data, and support for property performance Analyze variances at an investment level between actual results and the annual budgets Provide documented support auditors for annual audits Prepare schedules and information to assist external tax preparers with partnership tax returns Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $73150 - $99750 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
