Overview BOYNE Golf is seeking a creative, driven Content Marketing Specialist to lead the creation and distribution of compelling digital content across the BOYNE Golf collection of courses. This role is the engine behind our social media presence — producing high-quality video, photography, and written content that brings the BOYNE Golf experience to life online. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with a passion for golf, the outdoors, and digital media. You will conceptualize, film, edit, and publish content that drives engagement, builds brand loyalty, and supports revenue growth across all resort segments. As a key member of the golf marketing team, you will develop and execute a strategic content calendar, manage social media scheduling and publishing, and collaborate across departments to capture compelling stories from BOYNE Golf’s courses, resorts, and guest experiences. Responsibilities Video Production & Content Creation Concept, script, film, and edit original video content — including course tours, event spotlights, instructional reels, promotional campaigns, and seasonal highlights. Operate camera equipment (DSLR/mirrorless), drones (certification required), stabilizers, and audio gear to capture broadcast-quality footage on location. Edit video using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent software; deliver platform-optimized cuts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. Maintain a library of photo and video assets for use across digital and print channels using Image Relay. Collaborate with golf professionals, resort operations team, and outside photographers for shoots, events, and special campaigns. Social Media Management & Scheduling Own the social media content calendar across all BOYNE Golf channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube), ensuring consistent, on-brand publishing. Schedule and publish content using social media management tools, adapting cadence for year-round posts Monitor comments, messages, and mentions across platforms; engage with the community in a timely and brand-appropriate manner. Track performance metrics and produce regular reports on reach, engagement, follower growth, and content ROI; use insights to continuously refine the content strategy. Multi-Channel Content & Campaign Support Write compelling copy for social captions, website landing pages, digital display advertising, and email campaigns Support the marketing team in planning and executing integrated campaigns for tee time promotions, golf packages, events, membership drives, and tournaments. Coordinate with the broader BOYNE Resorts marketing team to ensure brand alignment and cross-channel consistency. Assist in the development of print materials (brochures, scorecards, signage) as needed. Assist Michigan Group Sales in creating visibility for all three Michigan resorts through their website and collateral material to entice customers to visit our spectacular Northern Michigan destinations and experience all the great activities, with a focus on meetings and weddings. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in digital content creation, social media management, or a related marketing role. Demonstrated videography and video editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing short-form and long-form content. Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar). Experience managing brand social media accounts and using scheduling/analytics platforms. Strong written communication skills; ability to adapt tone and voice across platforms and audiences. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously. FAA Part 107 drone certification or willingness to obtain. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in golf, hospitality, tourism, or outdoor lifestyle industries. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, After Effects). FAA Part 107 drone certification or willingness to obtain. Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization for search and social. Graphic design capabilities for creating branded social templates and digital assets. Photography skills — experience shooting in outdoor, on-course environments a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE This is a full-time, year-round position based at BOYNE Golf’s primary marketing hub in Petoskey, Michigan, with the ability to work hybrid from mid-October through mid-April. The role requires frequent on-site presence at our golf courses and resort properties seasonally to capture content. Schedule will flex around golf events, tournaments, peak seasons, and weather windows. Early mornings, weekends, and occasional travel within the BOYNE Golf collection of eleven courses in Michigan should be expected.
