Release Manager

Mission

 

We are looking for an experienced release manager for production deployment. You will be part of a SAP middleware, backend and frontend team. Technologies used in the projects: SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud Integration, SAP BTP, Jira, Jenkins, Crucible, Postman, Service Now.

 

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage software releases, ensuring smooth deployment across various environments.
• Define and implement release management processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to schedule, coordinate, and communicate releases.
• Identify and mitigate release-related risks and dependencies.
• Maintain detailed release documentation, including release notes, schedules, and rollback plans.
• Ensure compliance with change management policies and regulatory requirements.
• Automate and optimize deployment and release processes where feasible.
• Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues, coordinating resolutions with relevant teams.
• Conduct post-release reviews and drive continuous improvements.
• Ensure a cohesive and synchronized workflow across the team to ensure the successful deployment of releases.
• Coordinate with the team and other release managers to ensure a cohesive and synchronized workflow.
• Participate and offer support in UAT testing to ensure the quality of releases.

• Knowledge of Service Now is required.
• Experience with JIRA Scrum/Kanban - Agile workflow methodologies and Confluence is desired.
• Knowledge of release management tools is essential (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Jira, GitLab CI/CD).
• Experience in release management or DevOps.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and deployment automation tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (SQL, etc.) is an asset.
• Experience with SAP CPI is a plus.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
