Pharmacy Technician I

Location: This position is onsite at 111 Chesterfield Industrial Blvd, Chesterfield, MO 63005. Requires current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license OR the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Position Purpose:
Work directly under the Pharmacist's supervision to accurately prepare prescription orders to ship to patients in a timely manner.

• Locate correct medication and strength to complete order then prepare, count, label and package for pharmacist approval, and maintain prescription logs.
• Maintain stock in the Pharmacy to ensure levels are appropriate to meet patient demand.
• Comply with all safety, quality assurance, and accreditation, legal, state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis.
• Remove discontinued, expired or recalled medicines and prepare for return or destruction, and complete all required documentation.
• Accurately use and care for all pharmacy equipment according to policy.
• Assist to maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs with proper maintenance and documentation as required by policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience and be familiar to drugs. Must be detailed oriented.

License/Certification: Current state’s Pharmacy Technician License preferred

Foundation Care: Licenses/Certifications: Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license OR the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire

Pay Range: $15.87 - $27.25 per hour
