Position Highlights
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing IT support within the organization. The IT Specialist is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating all user problems, questions, and inquiries. They will need to proactively communicate and deliver information, follow through on assigned tasks, and resolve issues in an accurate and timely manner. Will be responsible for setting up systems/programs and maintaining equipment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or 1 year of related experience. Or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Healthcare IT experience preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS: Microsoft Certification preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists leaders with internal information technology projects and assignments by scheduling and attending meetings to capture and drive resolution of key issues
Create presentations and/or communications to support leadership initiatives or projects.
Support system or regional information technology activities. Functions may include communication with team members, attending meetings, creating task lists, reporting or updating documentation as it relates to information technology.
Generate, review, and format documentation regarding IT policies and procedures Proactively anticipate needs of the organization to drive resolution of potential or existing issues.
Works closely with Avera IT department. Communicate with and provide training, support, and troubleshooting to end users and team members on computer operations and software access including, but not limited to phone set-up, Outlook, TEAMS, Audio-Visual equipment, time clocks, MyTime, Meal Deduction Reader, Health Streams, KnowledgeNet, Policy Stat, Workday. Responsible for security cameras and door access to ORHC buildings. Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and/or troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and network hardware software products. Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for end users. Recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including repair as needed. Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware, equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installation. Other duties as assigned.
