Job description

At Moss, we give finance professionals the power to automate their day-to-day and make forward-thinking decisions.

Our team and culture make us unique — we’re driven by impact and growth, where every one of us strives to learn and excel. Recognised by Sifted’s Rising 100 https://sifted.eu/rankings/b2b-saas-rising-100-2024 and LinkedIn's Top Startups https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/linkedin-top-startups-2024-20-aufstrebende-unternehmen-bjd0c/, we’re here to help propel your career and together, make Moss a lasting success.

The Data & Insights team at Moss is hiring a Senior Product Analyst. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role sitting at the heart of product decision-making.

You will have direct exposure to product leadership to drive the adoption and success of our highest-priority 2026 initiatives and beyond: Month-End Close Automation, Advanced Controlling and Reporting, and our emerging AI/Moss Intelligence agents. You will be instrumental in defining how we measure the success of these revenue-critical modules.

More importantly, you are joining us at a strategic inflection point. We are deeply rethinking the way we execute data analytics at Moss by aggressively leveraging AI. As a team, we are moving away from reactive reporting to focus entirely on proactive foresight - automating routine operations to build predictive signals like our upcoming "Data Radar".

Reporting to the Head of Data & Insights, you will not just raise the bar on how Moss measures, tracks, and improves the products our customers use every day - you will actively help us redefine how a modern, AI-enabled data team operates.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the AI-Empowered Data Supply Chain: Take full end-to-end accountability for product data in your domain—from tracking design to final insights. You will operate as a modern, "full-stack" analyst, leveraging advanced AI tooling and the robust frameworks provided by our Analytics Engineering team to maintain your data models. This ensures you remain highly independent and "development-light" while owning the complete data lifecycle.
  • Steer Strategic Execution: Drive the product analytics roadmap in close partnership with product directors and the CPO, specifically defining and measuring the success of our high-priority 2026 spikes: Month-End Close automation, Controlling, and AI/Moss Intelligence agents.
  • Drive the AI/Automation Evolution: Actively leverage AI (Claude Skills, agents) to automate routine reporting and ad-hoc requests, empowering product leadership with self-serve decision leverage so you can protect your capacity for high-value strategic analysis.
  • Elevate Engineering&Product Standards: Lead the development of a rigorous experimentation culture at Moss, introducing structured A/B testing frameworks and raising the standard for how data and evidence dictate feature development.
  • Bridge the Tooling Reality: Leverage our existing data stack (Google BigQuery, dbt, Metabase) to extract immediate value while mapping out a lean, strategic implementation plan for future front-end Product Analytics (PA) and Customer Data Platform (CDP) tooling.

ABOUT YOU

  • SaaS & Commercial Expertise: Proven track record as a Senior Product Data Analyst in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment. You are commercially sharp—you do not just analyze product funnels; you understand exactly how user behavior drives monetization, account expansion, and our SaaS Net Revenue Retention (NRR) targets.
  • AI-Empowered with solid data background: Advanced SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with modern data stacks (e.g., Google BigQuery, dbt). More importantly, you are a practiced AI adopter: you actively leverage AI tooling to accelerate your data modeling, write queries, and generate insights, allowing you to operate as a fast, "development-light" full-stack analyst.
  • Extreme Ownership & Intensity: You operate with a bias toward extreme ownership and startup-like intensity. You thrive in high-autonomy environments, comfortable operating alongside product leadership, and you do not wait for tickets to be filed to investigate where our product might be leaking value.
  • Rigorous Experimentation: Hands-on experience driving A/B testing and experimentation cultures. You possess a rock-solid grasp of underlying statistical concepts and have a proven ability to translate complex, ambiguous test results into confident, strategic recommendations for the C-level.
  • Tooling Architecture (Plus): Experience evaluating, instrumenting, or migrating front-end tracking tools and CDPs (such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, or RudderStack) is a strong plus as we map out our future front-end architecture.
