ABOUT THE ROLE
Street Group is one of the fastest-growing PropTech businesses in the UK โ and we're growing fast enough that we need someone to own the financial engine that powers it.
As Financial Controller, you are the guardian of our Source of Truth.
You'll ensure a timely, accurate month-end close and deliver the high-quality reporting that feeds into forecasting and informs key strategic decisions.
You'll bridge rigorous technical accounting with the demands of a scaling SaaS business โ working closely with our FP&A function and the wider team to drive operational excellence.
This is a growth hire. We're scaling quickly and we need a Financial Controller who can build with us, not just manage what's already there.
You'll be reporting directly to the FD and leading a small finance team.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Lead a high-quality, efficient month-end close and deliver board-ready reporting with robust reconciliations and clear audit trails
- Strengthen financial controls, systems and automation to build a scalable, investor-ready finance function
- Act as the lead for audit, year-end accounts, VAT, payroll and broader tax compliance
- Partner cross-functionally to translate financial performance into commercial insight, confidently challenging on accounting treatment where needed
- Lead and develop the finance team โ raising standards, improving processes, and embedding a systems-first, high-performance culture as we scale, including AI use where applicable
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager within a scaling, high-growth environment
- Strong technical grounding with clear SaaS / software revenue recognition experience and a deep understanding of financial controls
- Systems-first mindset โ you instinctively improve processes, leverage automation, and enhance reporting accuracy
- Confident communicator with gravitas, comfortable challenging stakeholders and translating financial data into commercial insight
- Meticulous, disciplined and commercially aware, with the drive to build a finance function that supports rapid and sustainable growth
SALARY
ยฃ75,000 โ ยฃ80,000, dependent on experience. Sometimes the perfect person is more or less experienced than we anticipated โ in those situations, the planned range goes out the window. If you think that might be you, apply anyway and let us know.
