Job description
This position offers a base hourly range of $19.46 - $32.41 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus bonus based on company performance. This role works a 4-day schedule, either Sunday – Wednesday or Tuesday – Friday. Shifts are either 3am –1:30p, or 5am –3:30pm, with start times rotating every other week. OVERVIEW Ensure and verify that foods produced/assembled and distributed through Sheetz Distribution Services adhere to established high food safety & quality standards through implementation of food safety and quality assurance programs. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) 1. Conduct pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections. 2. Recommend and establish food safety and quality procedures via written programs for implementation in Sheetz Distribution Services facilities. 3. Assist with training and implementation as well as conduct verification and validation of critical food safety programs to comply with company food safety and quality standards in addition to government regulations. 4. Assist in investigating complaints pertaining to product that have been manufactured, assembled, or distributed through Sheetz Distribution Services. 5. Collect and test environmental, product, and other samples for microbiological and quality data collection and investigation as well as against established standards and specifications as appropriate or necessary. 6. Maintain laboratory and associated workspaces in an organized and sanitary condition while maintaining and practicing good laboratory practices. 7. Conduct and document appropriate follow-up procedures when standards are not met. 8. Additional responsibilities as assigned within reasonable scope of work and expectation. QUALIFICATIONS (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education • High School Diploma/GED required. Experience • Minimum 1 year in food safety or related field required Licenses/Certifications (Required within 1 year of employment) • ANSI Accredited Food Protection Manager Certification • Basic HACCP Certification Tools & Equipment • General Office Equipment • Hand tools (including but not limited to measuring devices, etc.) • Lab testing equipment (including but not limited to pH Meter, Aw Meter, Moisture Analyzer, Microbiological Testing Equipment) ACCOMMODATIONS Sheetz is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals.
