Job description
Heimstaden Group is looking for an Associate to join the CEO Office in Copenhagen.
You will be part of a small, high-performing team that works closely with executive management on strategic, financial, and performance-related topics, serving as a trusted analytical partner across the organization, with a focus on the real estate portfolio and capital structure.
You will take a central role in owning and developing Heimstaden’s long-term financial planning model and analytical infrastructure, working hands-on with complex models, data, and underlying connections to ensure robust, scalable, and decision-relevant outputs.
You will collaborate closely with Corporate Finance, investment teams, and Data & Analytics to continuously improve models, data flows, and financial processes across the organization.
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in financial modelling and corporate finance, a solid understanding of investment banking concepts, combined with a genuine interest in real estate, financial statements, and funding structures.
The role offers a steep learning curve and close interaction with executive management in a complex and international organization.
Key responsibilities
Maintain, update, and continuously improve our short- and long-term planning models
Build and run scenarios in the model to assess changes in strategy, including capital structure, funding, and investments
Prepare high-quality materials to support strategic decision-making for management and the board
Update and improve the quarterly valuation process, enhancing data quality, consistency, and efficiency
Prepare insights and analyses of the portfolio for relevant internal and external stakeholders
Act as a sparring partner to finance and business controlling, aligning on key assumptions and supporting financial reporting
Collaborate with Corporate Finance and investment teams across markets to centralize processes and improve ways of working
Work closely with the Data & Analytics team to improve data flows, manage model connections and queries, and enhance overall data quality and reliability
Undertake ad hoc analyses and projects for management
- Hold a Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
Have 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Have strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with dataflows and Power Query is a plus.
Are fluent in English.
Demonstrate a strong interest in real estate, accounting fundamentals, and funding structures
You are comfortable working in a high-paced environment and enjoy diving deep into data and financial models. You continuously seek to improve processes and bring a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
