Responsibilities Job Overview: The Store Controller is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, compliance with quality standards and effective Resource Management within the outbound Warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in loss prevention, freight optimization and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Operational Efficiency and Accuracy Oversee outbound operations including order selection, picking, loading and invoicing via EWM Coordinate with transport teams according to the daily load plan Monitor and validate all stock movements to prevent variances and loading errors Ensure accurate documentation and control of stock transactions Inventory Management and Loss Prevention Manage daily cycle counting processes with a target of 0% stock loss Track and report inventory variances and initiate corrective actions Implement and monitor FIFO stock rotation practices to maintain product freshness Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure completion of forklift pre-inspections and truck inspection forms Coordinate mock recalls in collaboration with the QA team Verify incoming Chep Pallet receipts and ensure proper offloading and storage Maintain key control protocols and ensure Enterprise Control Execution checklists are completed and uploaded. Freight Optimization & Resource Management Support effective load planning to reduce transport costs and improve delivery efficiency. Monitor energy resource levels and ensure optimal utilization Manage and coordinate picking and loading teams, introducing performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives Additional Responsibilities Oversee loading and servicing of wet waste trucks, including after-hours call-outs Ensure forklifts are cleaned and recorded according to QFS schedules Control the receipt, storage and despatch of stock to ensure that all stock items can be accounted for at all times Maintain effective stock rotation on a first-in-first-out basis to ensure stock freshness in accordance with company policy Ensure that all safety and security procedures are adhered to Maintain shelf-life control and manage slow moving items Ensure that all maintenance, repairs, routine checks and other activities relating to vehicles are completed in accordance with Transport Department dictates Ensure that the Warehouse buildings and equipment are kept in good condition of repair to ensure that it is suitable for stock warehousing. Perform and co-ordinate weekly stock counts and report shortages and surplus stock to the Procurement Manager to ensure a 0% stock loss.
