Your role here
Under general supervision of the Manager of Transportation Services, the Senior Logistics Analyst is responsible for administrative, training and operational functions within a Transportation Management Systems (TMS) platform. This will involve various modes for domestic US/CA (TL, LTL, RAIL). Duties will fall to about 80% administrative/training and 10% planning/execution and 10% analytics.
Essential Functions:
- Full understanding of transportation in relation to TL, LTL, RAIL and broker networks.
- Full understanding of transportation in relation to OCEAN, AIR and DRAYAGE
- Onboarding and setup of freight partners, vendors and users on the TMS.
- Manage transportation contract and configurations.
- Provide training and support for internal and external TMS Users.
- Identify potential new cost savings opportunities through data and process analysis.
- Contribute to automation and improvement of TMS-related processes.
- Analysis and support of freight bill audit & payment process.
- Analyze system problems and be able to identify proper correction method.
- Participate in platform and acquisition projects.
- Testing of system integrations and development requests
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Operations Management, or Analytics and 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.
