JOB SUMMARY:

The Interior Designer is responsible for developing interior concepts, preparing design documentation and coordinating with consultants, suppliers and contractors to deliver high-quality interior design solutions. The role contributes to space planning, material selection, detailing, project presentations and on-site coordination across various project stages.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop design concepts, space planning layouts and detailed interior drawings. • Prepare material palettes, finishes, furniture selections and design specifications. • Create 3D models, renderings and visualisations for client presentations. • Coordinate with consultants (M&E, lighting, structural, QS) to ensure integrated design outcomes. • Participate in client meetings, gather requirements and translate them into design solutions. • Prepare tender and construction drawings including detailed joinery, fixture and finishing details. • Conduct site visits to verify design intent, monitor progress and address technical issues. • Review shop drawings, material submissions and mock-ups for compliance with design requirements. • Collaborate with contractors to resolve construction challenges and provide clarifications. • Maintain documentation including drawing registers, material boards and project references.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field. • 2–5 years of experience in interior design within the built environment sector. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Enscape or rendering tools. • Strong design sensibility and understanding of materials, colours and detailing. • Good knowledge of building regulations and interior fit-out construction processes. • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
