Pay Rate/Range:$125,000-$140,000

Responsible for operational effectiveness and efficiency of assigned patient care areas, including Infusion, Pain management, and the Cancer Program. Demonstrates awareness of internal and external forces impacting care and resources at the point-of –service as well as across the continuum. Facilitates an atmosphere of participative management and teamwork among the nursing staff as well as promoting and achieving the philosophy, goals, and standards of the organization and nursing services within his/her defined areas of responsibility. Contributes to the long-range planning process and recruitment and retention of qualified nurses and collaborates in organizational programming and committee work. A commitment to clinical excellence is displayed through participation in and support of evidence-based practice and the consistent implementation of clinical standards of care and practice through professional development activities for self and nursing staff. Emphasis is on accuracy, timeless, stellar service, and appropriate patient education. Oversees the mentoring of new staff and facilitates an atmosphere of participative management and teamwork among nursing staff.  In collaboration with the AVP, oversees scheduling, evaluating, and holding staff accountable for excellence in practice. A commitment to excellence is displayed through participation in and support of evidence-based practice.  Influences policies that achieve health equity, promote wellness, and protect against inequity for people of marginalized and underrepresented communities.

Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a health-related field required.; MSN preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. OCN certification and PALS within one year of hire.

Experience:  Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience, preferably in the ambulatory setting with exposure and a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Demonstrates sound clinical skills, understanding of acute care standards of practice, and positive communication skills. Demonstrated participation on councils and committees
