TITLE: US Payroll Specialist II

REPORTS TO: VP of Human Resources

LOCATION: Remote

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

Here are Career Team, we’re searching for our next US Payroll Specialist! As a US Payroll Specialist,, you are the heartbeat of our payroll operations. You will ensure the integrity of our data, provide world-class support to our US-based employees, and act as the primary guardian of our time-tracking accuracy. Reporting to the Director of Payroll, you will be instrumental in processing multi-state payroll across 15+ jurisdictions.

Your Impact on Career Team’s Success:

● Ticketing & SLA Management: Act as the "Tier 1" support for all payroll inquiries via Freshservice. You will be responsible for triaging tickets, providing accurate responses, and ensuring all inquiries are resolved within our established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

● Precision Data Management: Review and audit employee timecards for regular hours, OT, and various leave codes. Load batches and perform the critical "first review" of payroll registers to catch variances before they happen.

● ADP Power User: Maintain and update ADP Workforce Now to reflect changes in labor laws, tax jurisdictions, and employee status.

● Garnishment Administration: Set up and manage garnishments in compliance with US federal and state requirements.

● Employee Experience: Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues with empathy, speed, and professionalism.

● Reporting & Insights: Generate weekly/monthly headcount summaries and requested reports for audits to help leadership make data-driven decisions.

What You Bring:

● Experience: 2–3 years of specialized payroll experience, specifically handling US-based payroll (understanding US tax cycles is a must).

● Technical Chops: Proven experience with a Payroll System, such as ADP Workforce Now or Kronos/UKG. Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables are daily tools).

● Ticketing Experience: Proven experience using Freshservice, Zendesk, ServiceNow or a similar ticketing platform. You must understand the importance of ticket status, priority levels and SLA countdowns.

● Adaptability: Comfortable working 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHST to align with US Eastern/Central time zones.

● Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English, with the ability to explain complex pay issues to US employees.

● The "Zag" Mindset: A proactive approach to problem-solving—you don’t just report a variance; you find the source.

● Must be a self-starter, hands on and able to be flexible with competitive work demands. Take the initiative to look beyond any variances and get to the source of the problem or identify trends;

● Meticulous organizational skills and detail-oriented;

● Professional communication skills, experience with handling sensitive and confidential data;

● Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure, including the ability to perform and complete a high volume of work assignments with speed and accuracy, work cooperatively with others and showing courteousness and a high level of professionalism.

Salary range from 45-70,000 PHP month, depending on experience
