Position Summary The Facility Associate’s primary task is to ensure that materials are shipped and received properly and legally. The Facility Associate will be part of the Facility Services Team and will also be responsible for coordinating and administering a wide variety of duties in support of the Facilities Services’ function. This individual will be expected to be flexible, have strong communication skills, be customer service oriented and possess a teamwork attitude. This colleague must have the ability and willingness to develop and follow standard work and to multi-task. This position is non-supervisory, but the individual will assist and train others, as well as create training documentation for systems and procedures. Responsibilities Perform routine and non-routine shipping and receiving tasks for domestic and international materials. This will include proper document preparation, distribution, scheduling, and data entry. Must be qualified to ship and receive both hazardous and nonhazardous shipments of chemicals via air and land. Day to day coordination of the supply storeroom operation including procurement and inventory control for common facility supplies. Serve as back-up for security access system administration, including data entry, name plate, badge making, and maintaining supplies. Perform other routine and non-routine projects and tasks as directed in support of the Facility Services department Accountable for securing and monitoring the Dock and Stock Room areas. Support the Facility Safety effort by: Executing the Hazardous Materials Security Plan Safely maintaining the supply of bulk and single cylinder gas systems and inventory Perform training for Fork Truck qualification and other functions associated with Facility Services. What we are looking for Required Skills and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent General computer knowledge and willingness to learn new computer applications Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Must be highly organized with the ability to work accurately and independently Solid computer skills; must be able to efficiently, effectively, and clearly: Communicate through email (Microsoft Outlook) Leverage information searching on the Internet Generate Word documents, Power Point presentation, and simple Excel spreadsheet Procure project materials with a credit card and clear expenses Willingness to obtain a fork truck license and hazardous material shipping certifications (may require offsite training and testing) Familiarity with shipping and receiving hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals Ability to work physically, handling materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis Up to date DOT/IATA RCRA Certification Experience with FedEx shipping system Preferred Skills and Experience Fork Truck License Experience with SAP Come join us! Total Rewards Package The salary range for this position is USD $43,000.00/Yr. - USD $46,000.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
