The Purpose
The Planning Performance and S&OP Manager is the driving force behind seamless end‑to‑end planning across our wholesale and retail channels, ensuring every Jewellery assortment flows effortlessly from demand through to fulfilment. This role shapes the heartbeat of our commercial rhythm, leading, challenging, and elevating the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to create true alignment between demand, supply, and operational execution. By interrogating assumptions, optimising inventory, and sharpening service performance, the Planning Performance and S&OP Manager turns insight into action and ensures our customers experience excellence at every touchpoint
Main Responsibilities
- Drive end‑to‑end planning performance across wholesale and retail channels, ensuring full alignment between demand, supply, and fulfilment for all Jewellery assortments.
- Lead and govern the S&OP process, including preparation, consolidation, scenario building, and facilitation of cross‑functional discussions.
- Challenge and validate demand and supply assumptions to optimise service levels, inventory health, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee wholesale planning and fulfilment, partnering with Sales and Planning teams to maintain accurate forecasts and resolve risks or opportunities.
- Ensure alignment between wholesale and retail plans to prevent supply conflicts and maximise product availability.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning through structured monthly reviews to support cohesive, data‑driven decisions.
- Provide clear insights, scenarios, and recommendations to senior leadership to enable informed decision‑making.
- Lead and develop the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the planning function.
- Prove experience in S&OP/IBP, demand planning, and supply planning, with a strong ability to connect commercial and operational realities.
- Confident in constructively challenging stakeholders and influencing decisions through data‑driven insights.
- Knowledgeable in wholesale and retail planning dynamics, ideally within fashion, luxury, or fast-moving consumer environments.
- Skilled at interpreting market trends, product behaviour, and customer demand to inform planning decisions.
- A strong communicator with the ability to simplify complexity and present clearly to senior leadership.
- Highly proficient in Excel and ERP systems, with strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
- Experienced in managing or mentoring junior team members and supporting their development.
- Proactive, accountable, and commercially minded, with a drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Data‑driven in your approach, using evidence to guide decisions and elevate planning performance.
