Job description

Our R&D Platforms Team is looking for a DevOps professional with a strong focus on Kubernetes and Azure. In this role, you will support the development of our cutting-edge projects, particularly in deploying and managing our supply chain products in the cloud. As a pivotal figure in our SaaS initiative, your DevOps expertise will drive deployment excellence and product quality through a software-defined approach to operations and infrastructure.

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of our new CloudOps platform, with a specific focus on Kubernetes in the Azure ecosystem
  • Design and implement Kubernetes clusters on Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficiency
  • Establish a strategic roadmap and vision to accelerate software delivery and enhance the operational performance of our products and services
  • Articulate the product’s value proposition, emphasizing the delivery of features that leverage Kubernetes on Azure
  • Promote best practices in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies to simplify architecture and operations
  • Profile code and workflows within Kubernetes environments to minimize resource consumption and optimize performance
  • Build Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate the effectiveness of Kubernetes solutions on Azure
  • More than 6 years of hands-on DevOps experience, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes and Azure (or over 10 years as a System Administrator), excluding academic projects
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift OCP or OPP or previous hands-on experience with OpenShift
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Professional proficiency in and English
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes on Azure: In-depth knowledge and practical experience in configuring, managing, and setting up Kubernetes clusters on Azure
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform: Proven ability to use Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management, familiarity with similar tools, and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Proficiency in Linux server administration: Strong skills in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Linux environments
  • Expertise in ArgoCD, Crossplane, and Karmada: Experience in implementing and managing GitOps workflows with ArgoCD, multi-cloud/hybrid environments with Crossplane, and orchestrating multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments with Karmada
  • Database experience (SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL), particularly relating to Kubernetes deployments
  • Experience with code-driven AWS services such as Lambda and Makefile/Taskfile
  • Experience in DNS hosting and management, along with CDN usage like Cloudflare or CloudFront
