Ice cream as a business system has very different character & a distinct business system when compared to other Unilever categories as it requires a dedicated cold chain GTM, it’s an impulse category and needs larger distributive and multichannel OOH footprint, needs agility to manage seasonality and rigour in front end execution. This bold move leads the creation of an iconic pure play ice cream company “MAGNUM IC Company” which operates in 80 countries with a revenue scale of $9bn globally, headquartered in Amsterdam. Magnum IC Company houses world’s most iconic brands like Magnum / Ben & Jerry, Cornetto, Breyers ,Walls and Grom. This separation gives us boost to accelerate fast in the highly attractive $1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently globally. Magnum IC Company in India: In India, Kwality Wall’s (brand of Hindustan Unilever) is a large IC business with national presence. The HUL board has approved the demerger of Kwality Walls India business as a separate listed entity. Hence KWIL will be 100% part of the Magnum IC company with its India head office in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities ▪Responsible for leading demand planning process for Icecream category ▪Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function ▪Review historical sales trends, demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results ▪Interact with sales, marketing, and customer marketing to understand demand forecast drivers for S&OP ▪Lead & strengthen the S&Op process for the category ▪Follow a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer marketing to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for S&OP ▪Closely coordinate and communicate inputs/action plans with supply planning ▪Work closely with branch demand planners to ensure dynamic demand is captured ▪Apply error analysis / CPFR techniques to improve forecasting ▪Develop & work on demand forecasting tools to improve the forecast accuracy and adoption
Experience and skills required: WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications •5+ years’ experience, preferably in Supply/ demand planning •Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts •Strong in excel & analytical skills •Strong communication skills & ability to manage senior stakeholders •Strong organizational, decision making, and presentation skills •Working knowledge of Knowledge of SAP/APO •Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office
Educational Qualification: •MBA Preferred
