This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of supply chain professionals, technicians, and engineers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization adheres to all relevant regulations, develops automated compliance reports, and educates our teams on designing compliant processes. The International Supply Chain Manager manages relationships with non-US external vendors and suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled while protecting the organization's interests, maintaining compliance, and optimizing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Global Supplier Development & Relationship Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers across diverse international markets based on quality, capacity, reliability, and cost
  • Build and nurture cross-cultural business relationships that respect regional practices and communication styles
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and implement improvement strategies across global operations

International Contract & Financial Management

  • Negotiate and administer agreements compliant with multiple legal jurisdictions and international standards
  • Leverage global market intelligence to secure optimal pricing while balancing quality and risk
  • Manage currency fluctuations, payment terms, and financial controls across international transactions
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all contract activities and changes

Global Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, export/import laws, and country-specific requirements
  • Identify and address risks unique to global procurement (political instability, logistics disruptions, trade disputes)
  • Implement appropriate risk management strategies through contract terms, insurance requirements, and contingency planning
  • Coordinate quality assurance across international suppliers to maintain consistent standards

Global Supply Chain Optimization

  • Manage international logistics, customs clearance, and documentation requirements
  • Implement efficiency improvements in global procurement processes and inventory management
  • Generate performance analytics on international supplier metrics and compliance reporting
  • Stay informed about international market trends and regional business conditions that impact supply chain decisions

Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with legal, finance, engineering, and logistics teams across global operations
  • Align international procurement activities with organizational objectives and program requirements
  • Facilitate effective communication between international suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Serve as subject matter expert on global sourcing strategies and international supply markets

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, international business, or related field
  • Experience: 5+ years in international procurement or supplier management
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in multiple languages relevant to key supplier regions
  • Knowledge: Understanding of international trade laws, customs regulations, and global logistics
  • Travel Capability: Willingness to travel internationally (typically 20-30%)
  • Cultural Competence: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures and business environments
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with global procurement systems and international payment platforms
  • Domain Expertise:  Engineering, Manufacturing or Procurement experience across multiple aerospace domains and commodities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and/or previous working experience as an Engineer, Apprentice or Technician
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment with both internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems in aerospace
  • Fluent in multiple languages
