THE JOB:
• Abide by all Safety regulations and policies
• Must wear all required PPE for any task/job currently being performed
• Meet all production standards and efficiencies focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost based on current routings/times
• Perform daily housekeeping task. Help maintain 5S standards in your work location and whole department
• Must be willing to work outside of your current Job Classification and Department as qualified and needed
• Responsible for the planning, purchasing, inventory management and shipping functions
• Lead and manage the planning and purchasing team, including setting goals and managing performance to those goals. Plan and manage the development of the team. Team responsibilities include planning and purchasing of inventory and MRO, and scheduling workflow for manufacturing operations
• Responsible for defining and managing key supplier quality improvement needs, including supplier visits to review, plan track and execute corrective actions with input form Quality and Engineering teams
• Maximize the on-time delivery performance; define and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement. Develop on-time delivery performance metrics to better reflect service as viewed by the customers
• Lead and manage the inventory performance as measured by on-time, accurate shipments. This includes purchase order backlog management, inventory accuracy improvement, disposition/execution of excess/obsolete inventory, improved planning systems, etc.
• Develop and evolve the information systems which are used by the Materials organization. This includes the ERP system/MRP, forecasting software and customized reports/programs to maximize staff efficiency and business performance
• Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for the planning/purchasing functions, as needed to support business requirements, including ISO-9000 and Sarbanes/Oxley. Support the implementation of Lean principles in operations, including elimination of waste in the planning and purchasing functions, using tools such as value-stream-mapping and Kaizen, and supporting all Lean implementation activities plant-wide
• Manage and develop supplier base to support operations. This includes locating and developing new suppliers and supplier performance management
• Maximize the value of the supply chain including best pricing, on time delivery, quality and working capital (inventory/DSI and payment terms/DPO). Deliver year or year cost reduction and meet established productivity targets
• Lead the Logistics team to success; department includes a supervisor and several hourly shipping personnel
THE PERSON:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
• 5-10 years of experience in the Planning, Purchasing and Logistics functions in a large manufacturing organization
• Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing real-time ERP/MRP (experience in forecasting software, SAP a plus) platforms with concentration in Production Planning and Inventory Control
• Management and leadership experience in leading both direct and matrixed reports
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business
• Industry certification preferred in the areas of 6-Sigma, APICS or other relevant industry training
• Demonstrated ability to lead individuals in the areas of planning, organizational and analytical development
• Excellent computer proficiency, including in MS Office applications

The base pay range for this position is $95,600- $153,870 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00
This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.
