VP AI Excellence

You lead the next phase of KPN’s ambition to become an AI-native telco. Thanks to you, AI moves from promising initiatives to a scalable and trusted enterprise capability. You define the vision, roadmap and standards for AI excellence across KPN. Not only are you the strategic driver behind responsible AI, you also ensure measurable value creation through execution. You partner with business and technology leaders to unlock transformational opportunities. At the same time, you build strong governance, reusable solutions and a culture where AI can grow responsibly.

• Define and lead the enterprise AI Excellence vision and roadmap
• Set standards for robustness, explainability, ethics and operational reliability
• Drive reuse of platforms, models and data products across KPN
• Partner with senior leaders on strategic AI opportunities and value creation
• Build and lead a high-performing AI Excellence organization and community

You will lead a visible and future-focused organization within the Data & AI Office. The team combines strategic thinkers, AI specialists and transformation leaders who work closely together across KPN. To be successful in this role, you bring at least:

• Master’s degree level of working and thinking
• Extensive senior leadership experience in enterprise AI environments
• Proven experience scaling AI in complex organizations
• Strong knowledge of AI governance, risk, ethics and value realization
• Experience managing stakeholders at board and executive level

Of course, as an employer we also have a lot to offer you. Here’s what you can expect from us:

• A gross monthly salary in line with your individual employment agreement, based on a 40-hour work week
• An incentive opportunity of 20% of your gross annual salary (STI)
• The freedom to take leave based on your own needs and responsibility towards the organisation, your team and colleagues. This helps you stay physically and mentally fit to perform at your best. We do expect you to take at least the statutory minimum of 20 vacation days per calendar year (based on full-time employment).

• A fixed monthly mobility budget
• Excellent pension conditions: a total pension contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary, of which KPN contributes 16% and you contribute 7%
• If your pensionable salary exceeds the annually established maximum pensionable salary threshold, you will receive a monthly gross pension allowance of 11% on the part of your salary above this threshold. In addition, you will have the option to participate voluntarily in a net pension scheme.
