Responsibilities What we're looking for: Responsible for supporting any supply gap that arises due to routes changes / cancellations. Finding alternative, more cost-effective supply routes for both road and sea, with the relevant cost model to support instant changes. Optimizing road and sea freight logistics and finding / implementing solutions where required to ensure move plan is delivered monthly Accountabilities: Supporting the Operational Team Solving supply challenges for road and sea as it arises. Ensuring a permanent and cost-effective alternative Analyse existing routes and ensure it is the most optimised and cost effective Finding alternative solutions / routes to ensure continuity of business during peak periods / low availability of space Create and maintain a logistics matrix for alternative routes, with an updated cost model for comparison Adapt policies, procedures and enhance processes to improve business productivity, example Reduce stock damages, improve load efficiencies Measure and track, costs and projects DSV Control Tower data input Pier 2 Pier load build Monthly reporting Analytics Support on forward view of vessels and tracking of shipments Freight and Fleet Ensure correct inputs of requirements / specifications for the RFQ process (Local and Global Procurement) Measure and track success rate Spot rates where applicable Logistics Support Cross Trade Initiatives Optimised Logistics solutions for 3rd Party Manufacturing / Bonded Warehouse (Cross Border) Implement co-loading solutions to optimise cost and frequency of shipments Support Global Excellence team with Ocean Freight RFQ holistically Qualifications Experience: Knowledge/Skills 3-year Tertiary Qualification Computer literacy in MS Office, Power BI & SAP Good communication skills Strong negotiating and influencing skills Experience 5 – 8 Years’ Experience in the supply chain / logistics field (preferably exports Road, Ocean and Air Freight) Administration - Distribution / Warehousing experience People Management Skills Export/Imports Experience Strong network with logistics / freight forwarding service providers Strong Cross functional capability Analytical thinking Drive for results Customer driven Leadership Skills Managing complexity Problem solving “PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act."
