Job description
We are seeking Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, California.
Job Summary:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform and report automated and manual clinical laboratory tests independently with minimal supervision
- Apply principles of clinical laboratory science across assigned disciplines including chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, molecular testing, and flow cytometry
- Verify quality control data and release laboratory results in accordance with California licensing and regulatory requirements
- Maintain laboratory supplies, prepare reagents, and ensure readiness for daily testing operations
- Identify and escalate irregularities that may impact test results or data integrity
- Support assay improvements, new assay validation, and implementation activities
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, GCLP, and company quality and safety procedures
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
- Valid California State Clinical Laboratory License to perform laboratory testing
- Proficiency with complex laboratory techniques, calculations, and troubleshooting of analytical equipment
- Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
- Working knowledge of GCLP, CLIA, CAP, and regulatory standards governing clinical laboratories
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills in a regulated environment

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $46,200.00 - $96,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
